As many others have also experienced, the wait to receive our babies referrals is almost intolerable at times...the thoughts of waiting longer because of a new bug (mind you, a serious one...) just SUCKS!!!!!
The talk today on Rumour Queen...
"April 30th, 2009
I have this list in my head of four agencies that, when they say something, you can just about take it to the bank.
Two of those agencies are saying the rumor is false, that the CCAA is not holding anything up due to the swine flu, and that when they return to work next week it will be business as usual.
One of those agencies is saying the CCAA will not be sending referrals out due to swine flu.
Total agencies reporting things at this point:
Six agencies reporting the rumor is false and that it will be business as usual next week.
Eight agencies reporting that the CCAA is not sending them out due to swine flu. One of those agencies is notorious for having bogus information, and another of them isn’t right all that much.
Nothing is above an R3 right now. And if you’ll look at my rumor ratings then we don’t start keeping score until it is an R4. An R3 is just a rumor coming from multiple sources that needs to be reported. I don’t make a statement that I believe a rumor is true or false until it reaches an R4."
I guess will find out next week, but it's not sounding too good at this point!
I Kissed An Angel....
Today I kissed an angel
I knew it from the start
The first time my angel smiled at me
I gave away my heart
Today I kissed an angel
this angel child of mine
Though not of my creation
my child by God's design
Today I kissed an angel
my heart is dancing wild,
A family by a miracle
blessed by this angel child.

So..Maybe the referrals will not be held up because of the swine flu???
"Rumour queen, so far on the topic...."
Still an R3, but… .April 29th, 2009
An agency reports to their clients that they’ve spoken with the CCAA and that the rumor that referrals will be held are not true.
As I type, it is a few minutes after 7:00, Thursday morning in Beijing. Hopefully in the next few hours more U.S. agencies will be sending out emails to their clients letting them know what they’ve found out from CCAA.
Moving to an R3 April 29th, 2009
I’m moving the rumor that referrals are on hold due to the swine flu up to an R3. The vast majority of agencies have heard nothing about this. Three agencies (two European and one North American) are saying it is true.
One of those agencies says referrals and TA’s are on hold for 20 to 30 days, at which time a decision will be made of whether to release them or continue to hold them. They report that the CCAA offices will remain open and work will continue during this time.
Again, most agencies know nothing about this. I want more agencies to report this before I move it up to a sure thing.
Bad News April 29th, 2009
A few European agencies are reporting they have news that the CCAA is not sending referrals at this time due to the swine flu outbreak.
I have not heard this from any US agencies yet, and that seems a bit odd. Even though they aren’t open, there are a few agencies who would post this information from home even during the night.
This is an R2 at this time.
I would assume that, if this is true, it will also explain why there is no news of TA’s, either.

China Adoption Forecaster....
Our prediction for LID 2006-03-15
China has 7 days of dossiers to be processed before they get to your dossier. China currently processes about 3.8 days of dossiers each month.
Our best guess: 2009-05-27
I wonder how much it will change when the next group of referrals come out?????

Looks Like We Are Missing it by One Day!!! Can you believe it!!!
Just read this on guess where??? Rumour Queen...this really sucks!!
(we would need them to do a 7 day batch to be included, not likely)There are now two agencies who sound hopeful about the 14th being included. Neither agency is saying “the cut off is the 14th”, but both agencies are basically telling their 3/14 families that they “think” they are going to be in this time.
I’ll give it an R2.
I’ll give it an R2.

Bits of Rumour Queen...
Rumour Queen:
"And finally, the calendar shows us that moving from the 8 to the 13th gives us 3 weekdays, and two weekend days where the polls tell us no one was logged in. If we look at the poll numbers we see that these three weekdays were (comparatively) not that big. So yes, I think that five days is very possible this time. They could do another tiny batch (like January), in which case it could also be one day, but let’s hope that was some sort of fluke.
The 14th, however, is the second largest day of March, which is why the projections show that a one day batch is quite possible. Keep in mind though, that we’ve cleared the largest day in March (the 7th) and we did it without a one day batch."
Basically, CCAA may do a batch of five days worth (of referrals)~ we need 6 days though to get in this group!!! Or~ they may do one day once they get to the 14th...because it is a big day...either way, we are at least still about two batches off from our referral (much closer now!!!yeah!!!)

The Easter Bunny Came Early this Year for Maelin!!
(Actually it was Nanny Morrison ~ and not the Easter Bunny).
She had lots of goodies for Maelin, including a special gift....a Li Bien Egg.
It came with a card and the card reads
" In Chinese, the phrase "Li Bien" means "inside".
The Li Bien egg showcases the age old skill of inside painting, which originated in the Qing Dynasty.
It has been a respected Chinese art for over 200 years.
Each egg is delicately hand-painted through a tiny opening in the mouth-blown glass.
This process requires great skill and deliberation since the image is painted in reverse.
Each egg is a genuine work of art and no two are alike.
The result is a beautiful, one of a kind keepsake you will enjoy for years to come."
The picture doesn't really do it justice!
Thank you Nanny Morrison!
